MAster of Arts (MA)

The communication studies master’s degree offers a course of study centered around the belief that communication is formative and foundational to human identities, relationships, and communities, and that ethical and strategically effective communication can be the means of critiquing, constructing, and transforming identities, relationships, and communities.

ACCELERATED BA TO MA PROGRAM

The CST Department now offers a BA to MA Accelerated Degree Program (ADP) for students interested in completing master’s-level education more efficiently. Students admitted to the ADP may count up to 12 hours of graduate-level coursework toward both the BA and MA degrees in Communication Studies.

If you are interested in the ADP, we recommend that you contact a CST advisor no later than the beginning of the spring semester of your junior year. We also recommend that you complete CST 300 during the fall, spring, or summer of your junior year.
