Kristen Thompson Christman obtained her master’s degree in Communications Studies from UNCG in 2004 and is currently pursuing her PhD in Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations from UNCG.
Kristen currently works as a Higher Education Administrator with the office of Academic Systems (ASSA) and Student Achievement at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. ASSA focuses on promoting and evaluating student success at UNCG and provides input on administrative decision making, and designs and delivers programming that will enhance the student’s academic and developmental experience.
Kristen has utilized her communications background by teaching UNCG’s first service-learning UNS course, speaking to a group of Administrative Professionals at Rockingham Community College on the Power of Positive Thinking, providing First Year Experience workshops to faculty and staff at Dalton State College. In addition to being a certified Appreciate Inquiry Facilitator Kristen has been actively involved in the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). Kristen continues her passion for service by being involved in local community outreach work.
