I’ve finished my master’s in communication from San Diego State University, master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from SDSU and my Ph.D from the University of Northern Colorado in Human Rehabilitation.
I’m currently working as the program manager for a grant that specializes in
teaching medical students Deaf culture, ASL and cancer prevention.
You can check out our website at www.cancer.ucsd.edu/deafinfo. I’m also coordinating another grant to develop new cancer education messages “sandwiched” with Deaf culture jokes. These “healthy sandwich” messages will be mounted on the internet by September 2008.
